A family-fun business established in July 2004 by Jason and Katharine Salisbury hand making cheeses in the traditional way from milk from their herd of pedigree Guernsey and Jersey cows. In 2007, they moved to a lovely 100 acre farm near Creeting St Mary, near Needham Market (just off the A140).
The Salisburys then began the construction of 2 new dairy buildings, including the installation of a milking parlour and purpose built cheese dairy. The cows are now milked via a state-of-the-art voluntary milking system which allows the cows the freedom to choose when to be milked, enhancing their welfare and udder health. We strongly encourage you to visit the farm to view the milking system….but you can always check out the video on their website.
They produce three main cheeses.
A luxuriously creamy lightly blue-veined cheese.
A creamy semi-hard farmhouse cheese with a delicious flavour and a rich golden colour and is perfect with oatcakes or an apple.
A soft-ripened cheese tasting rich, buttery, fruity and increasingly earthy with age. Everyone’s favourite!
